iTATU, the Kenya Industry-Academy Platform (IAP) is a component of the Kenya Industry and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP). The platform which targets both Kenyan corporates and students seeks to drive the productivity of Kenyan corporates and increase the participating companies' competitiveness by utilizing the open innovation approach in driving the innovations. It will also contribute to the employability of Kenyan students by exposing them to “real life” problems and opportunities. iTATU is in the path of achieving this by facilitating innovation challenges posed by companies and carried out by cross-disciplinary student teams.
