Historical Show WCFC TV-38: Apostle Richard D. Henton,
Rev. Clay Evans and Taft Harris


•Pastor Owen Carr of Stone Church just outside of Chicago, IL
was inspired by God to reach people throughout Chicagoland.  He was given a vision and through prayer, donations and support of the church, and bank support was able to bring into fruition an Independent Christian Television station.

•At the time the television station was the largest Christian station which grew to spread the Word through various programs.  This
focus is on a few the first African American programming for the station which was Apostle Richard D. Henton, Rev. Clay Evans and Taft Harris.

Evans – The Fellowship Hour and Taft Harris – Saturday Nite Sing

Pastor Owen Carr’s vision was the spark to bringing local and eventually worldwide attention to Christian programming on television expanding the outreach beyond the radio waves.
