The First Nations University of Canada is launching a four-year and Indigenous Journalism and Communication program.

The first of its kind in North America, the Bachelor of Arts program will blend multimedia training with Indigenous languages and issues.

First Nations University President Dr. Jacqueline Ottmann says this program is long overdue and that Indigenous voices and perspectives are needed to tell Indigenous stories accurately and respectfully.
