This ongoing series is designed to uncover the very fabric of my record collection’ At least my Album Vaults of which are stored in alphabetical order rather than my 12”s that are catalogued in years of purchase… numerical order. Continuing our supposedly relaxed approach towards seeing us through the first month of our calendar year, Whilst I promised to Mix things up throughout Jan, and the intention is to do so quite literally within this episode! Fast forward to today landing a mere 2 nights past, We once again were able to transport you back to the turf once again using a beautifully renovated and Historic venue that oozes feel good from Door to floor that even has a stage and Disco Ball, You Just know at the third time of trying we was able to open the portal of Clarity intensionally unleash the power of the good Groove. Welcome back to the place where Soul is served in its purest form, I transport you back to a timezone where recording artists were rewarded by their assigned or soon to be lured Record Labels to cut an Album, this was often the perfect opportunity for the Artist to really introduce you to their Soul-Unique sound. What they was really all about could be sourced in the tracks that were used to fill the LP around the hits selected for single distribution, I would be guilty of purchasing Albums often on US/European Import sold here in the UK for higher priced due to import taxes only for one track, you could also find not only future hits but absolute gems that may be overlooked by the record companies that later became sought after. These tracks would and still are the main reason for LPs even to this day to be sold for extorsionate prices as the media today has gained popularity all these years after the compact disc was launched mid-80s and later digitised...only to come back full circle... To me My music is me and the media was never away, With records I have purchased since 1975 are Vaulted to be unleashed every Soul A:M Sunday that serves as a time machine with every record purchased from every store both locally and Globally harnessing energy like a portal that at times effected very life. I am forever thankful to my family in understanding my life long mission to not only Love and Protect them, But to share my positive Melodies to you not only to those of whom have experienced my dance… but Globally. Within this weeks Star-date we are going to be re-introduced to the cross roads of Soul Music time. An event that actually happened a Decade before created by a cataclysmic culmination of the collision of positive frequencies colliding across genres as Jazz fused with Funk and Rhythms conjured the Blues and mother Soul showed us the way to go, Mutating into an unstoppable Euphoria that became Disco. Now the cycle comes around full circle as All of the elements that created 80s soul was about to be injected with a virus so destructive that even the broadcasting corporations got it wrong predicted the new found and instantly infectious beats that was spawned out of the Sounds of Chicago’s House music would not last...or did they know more. Once again as we revelled in the cross stream of bountiful sounds from the underground, We never foresaw the seeds of demise of dance would come planted from within, Starting the early dilution process subtly at first heard across dance-floor, TV and Radio like a Hitman & temptress with a mission to Hijack our Stax that fed the good Groove’s that would again threatened to take over all who feel the true Sound of Soul, It happened before…And it will happen again as I… Welcome back to the Star-Date 1986 this weeks edition of the Dance Decade. Over the decades you have become so accustomed to waking up on Soulful Sundays to me just being there...Podcast ready! Actually even when I go away!
