I personally think that looking at it like The Matrix movie and a computer generated simulation is a bit hard to understand. It is easier to look through the lens of physics and understand it as a Quantum Field where all possibilities exist at the same time. Your consciousness is what influences the subatomic fabric of reality. Elon Musk is one of the perfect examples of bending the universe and creating your own reality.
