Is the San Francisco Giants' farm system good or bad? It depends on who you ask, and when you ask them. Going into last season, some had the SF Giants as a Top 3 farm system. Now, after some down years and injuries, several publications have them closer to No. 20.
But there's a ton of variance here. The Giants' system has the potential to produce some high-end talent, and it has a lot of depth. Starting with a couple of high profile prospects in Triple-A, Kyle Harrison and Casey Schmitt's starts to the season are discussed. For each, there are some positives and some negatives, but they're generally trending in the right direction.
Marco Luciano and Vaun Brown have returned from injuries and been assigned to affiliates, which is great news for both and the SF Giants' organization at large. Patrick Bailey, Carson Whisenhunt, and Luis Matos are also discussed on today's show.
