Scott Burton joined Deutsche Bank AG, Hong Kong as a Managing Director and the Regional Head of Anti-Financial Crime, Asia Pacific, in May 2017. Previously, he was a Managing Director and the Regional Financial Crime Compliance Head at JP Morgan from 2013 to 2017. Before this, Mr Burton was a Managing Director and the Global Co-Head of Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Anti-Corruption Compliance at Credit Suisse. He joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1998. Mr Burton has been based in Hong Kong since 2002, having also worked for Credit Suisse in Sydney, Australia. Before joining Credit Suisse, he worked in Management Consulting and Investment Banking in Australia and the United Kingdom.

 

Mr Burton holds Bachelor degrees in Arts and Economics from the University of Queensland and a Post Graduate degree in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Board Member, HK Chapter ACAMS. Scott is recognised as a subject matter expert and is frequently requested to speak at industry seminars and conferences.
