As a filmmaker, you ever been told you're "doing it wrong?" So? Some of the greatest filmmakers have broken all sorts of norms, creating some of the most exciting movies. Whatever works for you, embrace it. The one caveat I have is to make sure you understand why you're breaking tradition, instead of just doing it unknowingly.
