"Fianna Fáil have a lot to say about power sharing in Northern Ireland but when it comes to local government in Offaly it is a different story."

The words of independent councillor Seán O'Brien, following the appointment of new cathaoirligh and leas cathaoirligh to Offaly County Council and Tullamore Municipal District.

He feels Fianna Fáil is abusing its majority on the local authority to dominate the positions.
