For a deeper dive into self-care practices and healing, join us every week as we explore mindfulness, wellness, and self-love. Our expert guests will share tips, stories, and transformative experiences to help you prioritize your well-being. Tune in to “Nurturing You: The Self-Care Healing Hour” and embark on a journey of self-discovery and renewal. Sherry Bennett graduated from high school and beauty school in the same week. As a child, I stayed in trouble for lining up the neighborhood kids in my garage and giving them haircuts with sewing scissors for 25 cents. Since as far back as I can remember, all I ever saw was heads of hair that needed me...and still do! I have been hairdressing fifty hours a week, fifty weeks a year now for decades, until the Covid shutdown. That was the first time anyone had ever told me I couldn’t do my thing. After the shock wore off, being forced to stay home worked wonders for me personally. I actually gained balance. Now what makes a great day great includes time to stare at the ceiling and think about what I want to do. To be a human being, not just a human doing.
Hey you, here we are going to provide value in the form of knowledge we can apply into our daily lives that will have a positive generational impact. We will cover the science and psychological reasons behind why our physical and mental health is the way it is as children of the Diaspora and which foods and herbs we can incorporate in culture and which practices we can incorporate into our daily lives in order to heal our Mental and Physical Health so that we can live stronger, longer, and happier lives. We will cite our findings and get to a point of having guests who have studied certain topics and I will bring them to the discussion to go in depth on what we can do to help ourselves and each other heal. At times we may go over financial advice if it ties into the topic such as going from depressed to success, but money isn’t going to be the main focus here, we’re focusing on a different kind of Wealth, Wealth in Health, Healing and Breaking Generational Curses. We're rewriting our 🧬 Into Being Healthy and I'm going to be to support you on your journey! Ase'

Reggae #music is one of Jamaica's most distinctive and influential cultural exports. It emerged in the late #1960s as a fusion of ska, rocksteady, and Rastafarianism, and soon became a global phenomenon that inspired countless artists and genres. Some of the greatest reggae hits from the past are songs that reflect the social, political, and spiritual realities of #Jamaica, as well as the joy and resilience of its people. These songs include Bob #Marley's "One Love", which is a universal anthem of peace and unity; #Jimmy Cliff's "The Harder They Come", which is a defiant statement of survival and resistance; Burning Spear's "Marcus Garvey", which is a tribute to the national hero and pan-Africanist leader; and Toots and the Maytals' "Sweet and Dandy", which is a celebration of rural life and culture. These songs and many others have shaped the history and identity of Jamaica, and have influenced generations of musicians and listeners around the world.
