New MN Law Removes Barrier for Older Residents Seeking Jobless Benefits




A new Minnesota law that recently took effect assures that the state is no longer the last state in the nation to have a Social Security offset for older workers applying for jobless benefits. State lawmakers repealed the requirement, paving the way for individuals living on tight budgets to have an extra cushion if they lose their “post-retirement” job.
