About
Roger Nierenberg has conducted operas at New York’s Lincoln Center, the Stamford Symphony in Connecticut, and the Jacksonville Symphony in Florida.
Through his experiences with leaders, he became curious about the challenges and opportunities faced by organizations in times of rapid change. He saw how crucial issues of organizational development could be powerfully brought to life within an orchestra.
Thus was born The Music Paradigm and his book Maestro: A Surprising Story About Leading by Listening which has taken Mr. Nierenberg to the podium of over ninety different orchestras, hundreds of different organizations, in two dozen different countries.
We'll talk about many of the lessons learned on this journey and his book, such as:
The difference between direction and criticism?
The difference between management and leadership, and how does that manifest on the podium?
How musicians judge a conductor?
