5 Obstacles That Stand In Between You And Your Dream

1. Details stand between you and your dream

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. (NKJV)

2. Adversity stands between you and your dream

3. Temptation stands between you and your dream

Genesis 39:6-12 So he left in Joseph's care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, "Come to bed with me!" 8 But he refused. "With me in charge," he told her, "my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her. 11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he left his cloak in her hand
and ran out of the house. (NIV)

4. Selfishness stands between you and your dream

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being
done, the saving of many lives. (NIV)

5. Haters stand between you and your dream

Genesis 37:17-18 So Joseph went after his brothers and found them near Dothan. 18 But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. (NIV)

Genesis 37:19-22 "Here comes that dreamer!" they said to each other. 20 "Come now, let's kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we'll see what comes of his dreams." 21 When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. "Let's not take his life," he said. 22 "Don't shed any blood. Throw him into this cistern here in the desert, but don't lay a hand on him." Reuben said this to rescue him from them and take him back to his father. (NIV)
