The ER at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital was closed from 7 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday due to a staffing shortage.


Natalie Van Rooy Spoke with Lynn North, a resident who was sick over the weekend and couldn’t see a doctor most of the weekend. 


Five people, including a suspect, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a violent incident that drew a massive police presence to downtown Vancouver's main entertainment district Saturday night.


The vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it ran off the road and collided with a residence.
