Checking In and Recommitting to Your Goals

About

It’s the time of year when individuals or organizations look at the goals they set for themselves and wonder whether they set the right goals or if the strategies they implemented to achieve them are falling short.

A goal should stretch you, which means you may not have absolute clarity on how to achieve it when you start the year. You may want to stick with that goal and challenge yourself to find new ways to achieve it. Yet as the year goes on you’ll learn more about yourself, or perhaps life circumstances will change—we’re all familiar with that over the past few years. So when is it okay to make adjustments to our goals?

We’re going to discuss what to do when your goal no longer feels achievable, or how to move forward when circumstances change. We’ll also talk about when it may be time to reexamine your goals and make some adjustments to be more in line with your current circumstances.

If you’re interested in setting up some accountability within your relationship, we are hosting our annual Couples Goal Setting Retreat to get aligned on what success looks like and how to keep each other on track towards achieving them. Visit the1thing.com/events to learn more.

We talk about:

  • Questioning when you should change your goals
  • Using the 411 to guide your actions mid-year
  • The importance of reviewing your goals often
  • Having a conversation around your goals
  • Finding accountability for your goals
  • Giving yourself permission to make changes

Hiring right now is a challenge.

For a lot of leaders that need strong Executive Assistant support, the idea of writing the JD, posting, vetting, and interviewing for that role is exhausting, and frankly really unpredictable. Our friends at Base offer the most flexible support we’ve seen: their packages start at just 10 hours a week, so you don’t have to fill a full-time role (but if you are looking for full time, they can help there too). Their support will help take that weight off your shoulders.

Head to basehq.com/one to get started today.
