  • Four candidates took the stage in a highly anticipated debate in our studio last night...
     All of them are trying to fill that open congressional seat -- last held by Bakersfield's Kevin McCarthy. Four candidates qualified for the debate.
     Bakersfield Assemblymember Vince Fong and Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux on the right... local educator Marisa Wood and security officer Andy Morales on the left.
     They touched on national issues like immigration and fentanyl at the border to Central Valley concerns like water storage Other topics included age limits for presidential candidates... homelessness... and high-speed rail.
     We'll break down more of what happened in last night's debate... as well as was said in the media room when we went off air
  • a major concern by local voters.
    One Kern County couple was filled with fear after learning they got two ballots each.
