RAPID CITY—Horses not only empower entire nations, like the Comanche and the Titonwan, they have the power to heal individual people. Understanding this, Delaney Apple saw the horse as a healing tool for troubled and traumatized youth, beginning with the North Rapid Indian Community where he grew up.
