Can the San Francisco Giants possibly fit Joey Bart, Blake Sabol, and Patrick Bailey on the same roster? That question has become more and more relevant by the day, as Bart has showed signs of improvement, Sabol has done enough to stick for now (despite some extreme highs and lows), and 2020 first-rounder Bailey was promoted to Triple-A.
None of that even speaks to Gary Sánchez's impending ability to opt out of his minor league deal if he's not in the majors by Monday. In essence, it doesn't seem possible to have Bart, Sabol, and Bailey on the same roster—as long as the outfield is healthy. If Mitch Haniger, Michael Conforto, Mike Yastrzemski, and Austin Slater are available, they're going to get pretty much all of the outfield starts, with perhaps LaMonte Wade Jr. mixed in to open up first base for someone like Wilmer Flores.
