Many of us in the United States have fallen prey to a Western version of Christianity that states that we will never have any challenges, problems, or difficulties. However, based upon how I read the scriptures, that simply is not true. Now let me be crystal clear: I am not suggesting that we should have a defeated mindset, because Jesus conquered every difficulty we would face as part of the finished work of the cross. The challenge is to make sure we use all the tools that He left at our disposal to overcome the challenges we will face. As you’ll learn in Today’s Prayer, there are six specific things you can do whenever you face a challenge or difficulty… Psalms 37:23: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.”
