Jonah is a colorful, exciting, dramatic short story that has value in and of itself.  However, the more we know of the deep history leading up to Jonah, the more we will come to grasp the profound significance of this little story tucked away in the much-neglected section of our Bibles commonly referred to as “the minor prophets”.
