Prince of Peace

Many Jews were disappointed by Jesus, as they were expecting a powerful ruler who would overthrow their enemies. What they got instead, was the Prince of Peace.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; 
and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Jesus went to war against all that stood in the way of us having peace with God. Draw near to God and enjoy the relationship Jesus paid his life for.
