Romans 8

Romans 8 is known for so many things. One of them is the Holy Spirit.  He is mentioned no less than 20 times in this chapter. I encourage you to re-read what it says about Him. The important thing to encourage you today is that the Spirit gives us life.  In light of this, let’s look at the first two verses and the last two verse of this chapter to see a very important aspect of this Life we have in the Spirit.  They can be summarized as follows: We will never be condemnednor  will we ever be abandoned. 

 The chapter opens with these words: 

Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

 Then it closes with this: 

Rom. 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, 

Rom. 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
