Every March 8th, communities worldwide gather to commemorate International Women's Day (IWD). 

It is usually a time set aside to reflect on the status of women and highlight the many areas in which their rights are still being undermined and also evaluate the progress made. 

This year is themed 'Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. In order to achieve sustainable tomorrow, we must all break all biases facing women in the Society and excel beyond the status quo.

It is a day for governmental and non- governmental actors, corporate bodies, development partners and social movements to make commitments to close gender gaps and address the many challenges women still confront in public and private.
