Jeremiah preached repentance and returning to God for the forgiveness of sins. Despite human faithlessness, God's desire for reconciliation remains steadfast. Lent serves as a period for self-reflection, recognizing our sin and the importance of repentance. God offers healing and forgiveness, demonstrated through Jesus' sacrificial love on the cross which restores and revitalizes those in the Church, his beloved bride.
