They came up to the mountain to get their healing.Title- Come up the mountainWhen you come up the mountain-



The Mute will speakCan you imagine not being able to speak? Not being able to connect with your fellow man??In this instance- the friends of those who were mute brought their friends to Jesus to be healed and he healed them! 7.5 million people in America have difficulty using their voice-Being mute or having a speech difficulty can be a medical and or psychological issue.The simplest way to understand it is that those who are ‘mute’ cannot or do not speak for whatever reason- they cannot speak- not just a stutter or a lisp.In my life, I have really only met one mute person I can think of- homeless guy-In our church- I don’t think we have people that are mute in the sense of not being able to speak physically or psychologically- Jesus can heal that if that’s your issue- he canBut here’s the application I want to focus on today- if you’re afraid to speak up for Jesus and the truth- Jesus can heal you of that- come up the mountain and get healed!You can get the  courage to speak up- he can heal you of your meeknessProv 31:8 Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—We are living in a time (have been) where there is rampant immorality, falsehood, idolatry and wickedness that many people have been given over to- that people are not speaking upWe’re not speaking up against darkness and we shouldEph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.We’re not speaking up for the poor and needyProverbs 31:9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.But its more than that and the most important one is that we should be speaking up about Jesus- COME UP THE MOUNTAIN- Get healed and talk about how it happened!READ 1 Peter 3:15-16 always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reasonWe need to be the mouthpiece of Jesus- we need to be willing to speak upIts not easy- it takes courage- I’ve failed more times than I have succeeded because I’m fearful of how people will receive me and how they will respond to meThe bible says- Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,And honestly- I think sometimes we are ashamed- we are not bold we don’t speak up when we can- and that doesn’t honor God and we can be healed of thatJesus didn’t heal mute mouths so they could shut up and never talk again about the mountainHave you ever met someone (besides me) who can just talk? I mean talk talk.I always think about how long I’m talking in a conversation- some apparently don’tBut if we’ve been given speech- how do we use that for Jesus? COME UP THE MOUNTAINOne- confess Jesus Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.If you’ve never audibly confessed Jesus- it will change you (Paul getting saved at work)But ALSO- we need to speak truth the darkness we need to speak up.At school, church, work, home, community- you speak against those who speak against God, Jesus, gossip, racism, slander, mistruths. Use your mouth! (watching movie- fornicators)Acts 18:9-10 READ COME UP TO THE MOUNTAIN
