There is an unsettling over the earth right now through wars, earthquakes, disasters, fear, and death. It's as if the entire creation is groaning for the Presence of God, yet the people of God are called to abide, to remain at rest in Him. There are many ways that we stay alive and connected to God, but over the next two months, we will be exploring how this is done through The Word and Prayer.Reading the Bible is a discipline to keep us alive, because it feeds the soul with nourishment. This week we are looking at the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, the prayerful reading of the Word. It's one way to read the Bible so that we can enter the story of God and fully experience His life giving Words. This practice produces a rhythm of reading then living the Word.
