BELIEVERS BE ATTITUDES Series| BEATITUDES (6)| CHIMDI OHAHUNA.

Bible Text: Matthew 5
 1  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
 2  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
 3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
 6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
 8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.



The purpose of the teasers on the Beatitudes given by Jesus is to make us know that, our situations or circumstances don't make us blessed, it is who we are that makes us blessed. These blessings are reserved for all who are saved.

To be pure in heart means to have a clean & pure heart and this happens when the blood of Jesus washed away our sins. Only the blood of Jesus, the blood of the Lamb, can wash the heart and make it white as snow (Isaiah 1). The pure in heart are those washed by the Blood of the Lamb and are blessed.

Every believer must understand that it isn't enough to be spiritually fruitful, we must be fruitful in Soul/mind and body.
