Adapted from a story written by W.Somerset Maugham wrtten in 1931 and appearing in Hearst's International Cosmopolitan. The story was adapted to radio for "Escape" in a play entitled "The Vessel of Wrath." Introductory audio tells more about the Escape series and introduces the episode you will hear.
