Jude uses three words to identify the people he is addressing his letter to:
“To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:…”
Now these are the marks of a Christian, so this letter is written to you. These three attributes separate us from the world and bind us to God the Father through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
