IN HER LENS In Conversation: Hundefreund. Hundefreund (a.k.a. Dogfriend) is a German short film currently making waves in the film festival circuit. Get to know the creator and producer of the film Sailesh Naidu and its screenwriter and lead actor Lamin Leroy Gibba in this in-depth interview.

Sailesh Naidu is a poet, researcher, and filmmaker and Lamin Leroy Gibba is an actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter. In this part two of the conversation, Sailesh and Lamin talk about the casting process and Lamin's transition from screenwriter to actor- Lamin opens up about understanding his character Malik and how this grew during rehearsal. Sailesh opens up about the producer role, asking your network for resources, and the power of an idea. The duo talk about on-set intimacy coordination, the set design, the editing room, and their approach to the festival circuit.

Lamin Leroy Gibba is an actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter based in Berlin. He studied at The New School University in New York and performing at Classical Theater of Harlem and Lincoln Center among others.
