The first two weeks of college football have undoubtedly lived up to the hype, treating fans to a plethora of exhilarating games and jaw-dropping upsets. As we approach week 3, you might look at the weekend slate and consider it a down week. However, in the realm of college football’s unpredictability, there’s no such thing as a dull week. Here’s a list of matchups that should grab your attention this weekend.
Heading into Week 3 of college football, the weekend slate doesn’t appear to be as appetizing as most this fall. There are no matchups pitting nationally-ranked teams and most of the perceived title contenders play teams they should beat by several touchdowns. But the unexpected is what make college football great and an upset or two on Saturday would certainly changed well-established narratives in the early going.
Tennessee-Florida marks the SEC opener for both teams while Colorado’s home bout against Colorado State is what separates the Buffs from a 3-0 and enhanced national spotlight. Top-ranked Georgia is hoping not to get tripped up by South Carolina in Athens and Penn State’s be careful game at Illinois is worth keeping an eye on.
