About
‘Tis the season for holiday cheer, so it’s important to start with the good news that a California landscape doesn’t mean every yard has to look like a desert or only feature rocks and gravel. California landscaping can be varied and beautiful. That’s why the SAVE OU0R WATER campaign and Water Wise Santa are reminding people that there are a few changes they can make to contribute to a water wise future. Everyone should make lifestyle changes and adopt a new mindset about how we use and conserve water. In a season of giving, let’s give California the best gift and conserve water with water wise yards and gardens. California faces a drier future, let's do our part and gift native plants. Whether you have a patio garden box or an expansive yard like the one I’m in now - there are lots of water wise planting solutions that are beautiful, affordable, and easy to maintain. Santa is here to make Californians BELIEVE they can have water wise wonders around their home all year-round. Not only are they beautiful and water smart, but they are also a great resource for birds, bees, and butterflies. Using California natives in your garden allows your landscaping to go from surviving to thriving.
