But the real story, as Popok reports, is the reason that DOJ official Jordan Fox is using some smarmy apologetic tone in her letter to a NJ federal judge. It’s because she is a close friend of Trump’s former criminal defense lawyer and now 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals judge Emil Bove, and she’s lobbying the judges to get them to vote her in as the US Attorney replacement for Alina Habba in NJ.
