The Cleveland Guardians take two of three from the Toronto Blue Jays. They were excellent all weekend thanks first and foremost to a pitching staff that saw both the starts and bullpen combine to stifle one of the best offenses in baseball. We focus on Friday and Saturday in segment one. Friday was a fun effort that saw Cal Quantrill have his best start of the year and Jose Ramirez show that I am batting a thousand this year when it comes to reverse jinxes. 

Next up is a focus on the win from Sunday which saw Shane Bieber with a velocity increase and another strong performance by one of the ten best pitchers in baseball this year. The pitching staff gave up just four runs all weekend while the offense scored 16. We also talk about the impending promotion of Xzavion Curry. Curry along with the previously promoted Hunter Gaddis are top 20 prospects who have earned the chance to pitch and either as a starter or a reliever have a good chance of helping the Guardians for years to come.

We dig into my favorite topic: the Rule 5 situation for the Guardians. With the promotions of Gaddis and Curry, things are a lot clearer. We talk about three must-adds and then take this chance to discuss two of the biggest helium prospects in the system this year: Micah Pries and Johnathan Rodriquez. We focus on the few names left that could come off the roster and the many fun players who are in contention to be added. The depth in the Guardians system is unreal. While the pitching development has been lauded for years, one has to wonder if all of a sudden the hitting development in the system is maybe even better.
