Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has walked away from her plan to implement rent caps. 

Shadow Treasurer, David Janetzki, says the move has exposed the chaos running through her government, which he believes is only exacerbating the housing crisis. 

He tells Luke Grant that the state deserves more than just short sighted political fixes and random "thought bubbles", and that more houses need to be built.
