A little more than two months after closing down a second time because of the COVID-19 pandemic, New Synagogue of Palm Beach will reopen its doors today. Citing an uptick in cases caused by the delta variant, the synagogue closed in August after reopening for the first time May 7 after being closed since March 2020. Like many other houses of worship, it had held virtual services for more than a year. The synagogue will open at 6 p.m. for its traditional Friday services.
