Was God working through His covenant He cut with Abraham, Moses and King David in the lives of Zacharias and Elizabeth? The realities of the Covenants of God are at work in the Christmas story of this righteous couple. What God did for them in blessing them and rewarding them for their faithfulness concerning God's covenant with the people of Israel, God will do also for all those who are in covenant with Him through the blood of the everlasting covenant made sure through the merits of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as long as we "walk by faith, and not by sight".
