Today's Orthodox Nationalist deals with literary theory and its relation to rhetoric, or the (usually dishonest) art of persuasion. Whether it be in fiction or political speech-making, the idea is to justify or advocate something, utilizing all manner of emotion to create a consensus. While truth can use rhetoric, the user of this art usually has no idea of the particulars. TV shows about hospitals are not written by doctors, but by “poets” with an agenda. Interpreting literature is also the interpretation of media narrative and control.
