💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: In order to be partakers of God's precious promises, you must distance yourself from anything that can and will defile you - both your body and spirit!!! His precious promises are noted at the close of 2 Corinthians, chapter 6: God's assurance to us that He will make His dwelling in our midst, that He will walk among us and be our God, and that we shall forever be His people; that He will welcome us to Himself, and will be our Father, even as we are His sons and daughters.

(2 Cor. 7:1) "Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God"

Paul is saying that anything that casts a shadow on Christian purity must be renounced. This isn't legalism, but a diligent DETERMINATION to display the character of Christ in word and deed. Its reach is pervasive: both "body and spirit" must be kept clean!

Paul similarly expected the Philippians to live "blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation," among whom they were to "shine as lights in the world" (Phil. 2:15).

In this present moment, while we are still alive, we have a little time left to humble ourselves and come to God through the sacrifice—made by Jesus for our sins. When we draw our last breath and our body dies, it will be too late to change our mind. The decision for where we will spend eternity is being made by each one of us, every day that we live!

LIVE CLEAN AND HOLY: A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE AND CONSECRATION, AS WE AWAIT THE COMING OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST SO THAT WE MAY ENJOY THE KINGDOM WITH HIM FOR ETERNITY!

'Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless" (2 Peter 3:14).
