Throughout the Old Testament, lambs were sacrificed for a sin offering to God. Thousands and thousands of lambs had to be slaughtered to atone for man’s sin.  But Jesus. He came into the world to be the one, last, and greatest sacrificial lamb for mankind. His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave forever took care of the punishment our sins deserve. And the apostle John saw Jesus, the lamb, in his vision of our eternal reality reigning in Heaven forever.
