I CANNOT COME DOWN, Nehemiah Part 2

The Sign Of A Great Work Of God Is Enemies.

All Great People Have Enemies.  The Difference Is WHO Those Enemies Are!  

Defining Your Enemies: An Enemy Is Any Distraction From God’s Great Work In And Through Your Life.   

Your Enemy’s First Goal Is Always To Turn Your Attention Away From God’s Great Work!  

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” - Nehemiah 6:3  

My Great Work For God Is _____________.   I Cannot Come Down!    

Nehemiah 2:17-20 

Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem that we may no longer be a reproach.” 18And I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me, and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me. Then they said, “Let us arise and build.” So they put their hands to the good work. 19But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard it, they mocked us and despised us and said, “What is this thing you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” 20So I answered them and said to them, “The God of heaven will give us success; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no portion, right, or memorial in Jerusalem.”

Nehemiah 6:1-4

Now it came about when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab, and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates, 2that Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to harm me. 3So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” 4And they sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way.

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” - Nehemiah 6:3
