WHY YOU NEED A WORD FROM THE LORD:

1. THE WORD OF THE LORD WILL STRENGTHEN YOU
“But He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.” 
2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP

2. THE WORD OF THE LORD COMES TO RELEASE PROMISE AND ENCOURAGEMENT
Psalm 37:4 – “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 21:2 – “You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips.

3. THE WORD OF THE LORD COMES TO GIVE DIRECTION
"Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12

4. THE WORD OF THE LORD COMES TO DISCIPLINE OR REBUKE
"and you have forgotten the divine word of encouragement which is addressed to you as sons, “My son, do not make light of the discipline of the Lord, And do not lose heart and give up when you are corrected by Him;  6For the Lord disciplines and corrects those whom He loves, And He punishes every son whom He receives and welcomes [to His heart].”  Hebrews 12:5-6 AMP

5. THE WORD OF THE LORD HELPS BUILD YOUR FAITH
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

6. THE WORD OF THE LORD GIVES YOU THE ABILITY TO SUCCEED
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8

7. THE WORD OF THE LORD KEEPS YOU FOCUSED AND FLOURISHING
"The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]." Psalm 92:12
"For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that Day. " 1 Timothy 1:12
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 21Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." 2 Corinthians 1:20-21
