WHO’S YOUR DADDY?  Authority Issues

The Absent Father: No Authority. But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.  1 Timothy 5:8  (KJV)  | The Overbearing Father: Own Authority.  Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment]Ephesians 6:4 (Amplified) | The Wise Father: God’s Authority. "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."  Matthew 8:9 (NASB)

Who’s Your REAL Daddy?  God’s Authority, Genesis 22

Your REAL Daddy Is A Higher Authority.

1Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.

Your REAL Daddy Does Things You Don’t Understand.

2Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."

Your REAL Daddy Works Through Human Authority.

6Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" 8Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.

Your REAL Daddy Always Comes Through In The End.

12"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."  13Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
