Eight deaths were reported on Alabama roads and highways during the four-day Labor Day weekend, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The total deaths dropped from 10 in 2022 and there were no marine-related fatalities, the ALEA said. The eight deadly traffic crashes occurred in Montgomery, Marion, Marshall, Cullman, Washington, Randolph, Tuscaloosa and Lawrence counties.
