A Thomasville man faces 20 years to life imprisonment for murder when he is sentenced next week in Clarke County Circuit Court. A jury found Jeremiah Wesley Irvin guilty of the murder of Frederick Wright June 16 following a threeday trial at the Clarke County Courthouse in Grove Hill. Wright was shot on his front porch on Dixon Road off of Bashi Road in the Choctaw Corner area on Feb. 2, 2021. Wright was the stepfather of Irvin’s wife, Tiera Watson.
