About
Our number one goal when going through divorce is to make sure our children are okay. This week Michelle Dempsey-Multack is joined by Terry Smith, author of the children's book "See You Later" to discuss how we can help our children as they go through childhood in two homes. Michelle and Terry will take a deep dive into:

How Terry's book is centered toward seeing things from a child's point of view

Keeping the focus on the children during and after divorce

Reflecting on your words and actions to be an even better parent

AND SO MUCH MORE

Terry Smith is a published writer, poet, and international publisher of books on art,
children's books, photography, poetry, and popular culture. The focus of the Artvoices
Books imprint was to publish books by women, the LGBTQ community, and authors of
color. In addition, Terry has contributed to the landscape of contemporary art as an artist,
gallerist, curator, and editor-in-chief of a nationally distributed art periodical. Smith’s
mission as editor-in-chief was to create a platform for emerging, neglected and under
recognized artists who were creating important and relevant works or arts. In New
Orleans Smith created a memorial featuring the 1,800 plus names engraved in gold leaf
on granite on the façade of the ‘Saratoga Building’ in New Orleans dedicated to the
victims of Hurricane Katrina. The memorial's a welcoming gesture of forgiveness and
unity for the city New Orleans. Smith has curated over 50 exhibitions including ’60
Americans’ ‘We Got Next’ and the ‘Saratoga Collection’ which is now housed in its
entirety at the Alexandria Museum of Art. Smith has exhibited more than 100 visual
artists without representation at art fairs in Europe and the United States. Smith is on the
advisory board of the Louisiana Architecture Foundation and is the father of noted artist
Lucien Smith.
