Communities members in Northern Queensland can now have a say on a proposed water plan for the Gulf. 

The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water is considering ways to unlock more water for agriculture and critical minerals 

Public consultation is open until July 17. 

Rural reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with the Executive Director Ingrid Fomiatti-Minnesma about the need for the plan.
