God’s judgment has fallen upon Judah. The first batch of exiles were already deported to Babylon. Is this the end for God’s people? The false prophets say, “NO! This exile will only last a couple of years!” Jeremiah writes, “Lies! You will stay there for seventy years.” Why would God punish His people so harshly? Has God finally forsaken His rotten people? Or does He have a plan for them?
