* Sporting clubs are now firing up for the 2022 season, and one club calling for registrations is the legendary Goldfield United Hawks. I spoke to member, Matt Bennetto about the Under 10s in the Mini-Roos competition up to the senior squad playing in the Townsville Competition. We also discussed the junior development program. * One Charters Towers teenager is set to take the local music scene by storm. His name is Kenneth Peagham and will release a new single, "Don't Want You Alone Tonight" in the near future.
* The Charters Towers Hospital is planning on a new special garden for the palliative care ward which will greatly help the welfare of patients. I spoke to Katrina Ford from the hospital about this garden and a special fundraising event on the 17th of February.
* Today (8th of February) is the birthday of the most prolific movie composers ever. Writing the theme to many memorable movies, John Williams. I did a tribute piece on the show this morning.
