今日はイースター、イエス様の復活を祝う日です。イエス様はご自身のことを羊の良い牧者であると表現していますが、実は復活は、イエス様の良い羊飼としての存在と重要な関係があることをご存知でしたか？
(English below) 今日は、神様が二人の人の祈りと従順を用いて、奇跡的に二人を引き合わせたことを見ていきましょう。この出会いが二人の人生を変えることになります。彼らを通して、私たちの生活での祈りやイエス様に従うための大きな助けになるでしょう。 Today we will see how God used the prayers and obedience of two people to miraculously bring them together. This encounter will change both of their lives. Through them, we can learn a lot about praying and following Jesus in our own lives.
聖書では、人を表すのに羊がよく使われます。霊的な意味で、私たちが羊のように助けや世話を必要としていることは驚くべきことです！ヨハネの１０章で、イエスは羊飼いとその羊の関係を用いて、私たちの羊飼いであるイエスがどのようなお方であるかを、私たちに教えててくださいます。
The Bible often uses sheep to describe people. In a spiritual sense, it’s amazing how much help and care we need, just like sheep! In John 10, Jesus is going to use the relationship between a shepherd and his sheep to help us see more clearly who He is as our Shepherd.
Today we’re going to see that physical sight isn’t the only sight Jesus gives the man who was born blind. The sight Jesus gives this man a second kind of sight that is even more valuable, spiritual sight.
今日は、生まれつき目の見えない人にイエスが与えた見る力は、肉体的な視力だけではないことを見ていきましょう。イエスがこの人に与えたものは、さらに価値ある霊的な見る力です。
Have you ever met someone who changed so much that you didn't realize who he or she was? In today's passage, we will look at a person who was accused of being a liar by the rulers of the city when he explained how his change happened.
あなたは誰かがあまりに変わりすぎて、その人に気づかなかったことがありますか？今日の箇所では、あまりにも変わったことで、それを説明したところ、街の支配者たちから嘘つきだと非難された人を見ていきましょう。
今日の箇所では、生まれつき目の見えない人に出会います。彼は神の創造の美しさも、愛する人の顔も見たことがありませんでした。しかしある日、イエスが彼のもとに来て、視力を回復させます。彼は初めて肉体的にはっきりと見えるようになっただけでなく、霊的にもはっきりと見え始めるようになりました。
In our passage today, we’re going to meet a man who was born blind. He had never seen the beauty of God’s creation or the faces of his loved ones. But one day, Jesus comes to him and restores his sight. He not only gets to see clearly physically for the first time, but also begins to see clearly spiritually as well.
父と子の間には多くの類似点があります。この箇所で、イエスはそれらの類似点を用いて、父と子のつながりを表現しています。まず、ご自分と父なる神とのつながりを説明するためですが、同時に、ある人々が持っていると主張する神とのつながりが実際にはなかったことを指摘するためでもあります。
There are a lot of similarities between fathers and sons. In our passage, Jesus uses those similarities to describe father-son connections. First to describe His connection with Himself and God the Father, but also to point out the connection that certain people claimed to have with God wasn't really there.
Have you ever heard the phrase, “You shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free”? This was something Jesus said. So what was Jesus talking about when He said that? What is the truth He’s talking about, and what does that truth set us free from?

Today we're going to see people who chose not to follow Jesus. Instead of walking in the life of the light of Jesus, we will see that they continue to walk in darkness, even when Jesus the Light is standing right in front of them. What does Jesus reveal to them about their condition?
イエスは言われました。「わたしは世の光です。わたしに従う者は、決して闇の中を歩むことがなく、いのちの光を持ちます。」 イエスが与えようとするいのちの光を持つとはどういうことでしょうか？そして、世の光であるイエスを知ることがなぜ大切なのでしょうか？
Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." What does it mean to have the light of life that Jesus offers? And why is it important to know Jesus, the light of the world?
Today we see the amazing joy of seeing that we are no longer condemned for our sins because of Jesus' gift of grace to us!

ハイキングに行く時、リュックの中を調べて、旅行中に必要な物があるかどうかを確認しますよね。これは、新しい年を迎える準備をする事によく似ています。恵み深い天のお父様が私たちに与えてくださったいろいろな事を改めて思い起こしながら、次の一年の旅の準備をするのは良いことです。
When I go hiking, I go through my backpack to make sure that I have the things I need to help me throughout the trip. This is a lot like us in preparing for the new year. It's good to prepare for the next year's journey with a fresh reminder of the many things that our gracious Father has given us.
贈り物を開けて、一度や二度使えるものを見つけるのはいいことですが、毎日開けて、その日に必要なものを見つけることができる贈り物を持つことは素晴らしいことですよね！これこそ、イエス様が誕生を通して私たちに与えてくださる恵の贈り物です！
Opening a gift and finding something you can use once or twice is great. But to have a gift that you can open every day to find something you need for that day is amazing! This is what Jesus gives us through His birth: incredible gifts of grace!
Have you ever read the Bible and come across something that isn't just hard to understand, but maybe even a little hard to accept? Things that make you wonder "Why did God do that?" or "Why did Jesus say that?" Today we come to a passage just like that. And we get to see different ways to respond, not only to Jesus' words, but how he works in our lives that will help us in our walk with Him.
聖書を読んでいて、理解しずらいだけでなく、少し受け入れがたいところに直面したことはありませんか？「なぜ神様はそのようなことをされたのだろう」、「なぜイエス様はそのようなことを言われたのだろう」と思わせるような所です。今日はそのような個所を通して、聖書のイエス様のことばだけでなく、私たちのイエス様との歩みの助けとなる、私たちの人生へのイエス様の働きかけの中に、いろいろな答えを見ることができます。
